About

hello.

I'm Aminata Dia and I’m a product manager at Apple. Previously, I was the lead PM at Brightline, a family-centric mental and behavioral healthcare startup.

In the past I worked at Oculus, leading the product marketing team for our non-gaming virtual reality apps and experiences. Prior to joining Oculus, I worked in global product marketing on Facebook News Feed, focusing on integrity, ranking, and distribution.

In the past I worked as a product manager at VanityFair.com and Glamour.com, where I led product development and strategy, managing the full lifecycle from conception through post-launch. I also worked as a product manager for Condé Nast Entertainment, focusing on digital video products.

In my former life I worked as an editor and writer for places like Esquire, Manhattan magazine, and dailymakeover.com—which was acquired by StyleCaster Media Group. (I still moonlight as a freelance writer from time to time, see: my interview series Falling Into Product.)

I'm currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love building things and I'm interested in the intersection of emerging technology and media storytelling. I’m extremely passionate about mental health advocacy. Travel and music are two of my big interests. I also compete as an adult figure skater and I’m a member of the Peninsula Skating Club and the United States Figure Skating Association.
